In our County Contract, we negotiated an Equity Study, performed by Koff and Associates, independently from SEIU and the County of San Diego.
Our union used this data to bargain for equity increases for 80 percent of all SEIU represented employees and secured a commitment to a new Equity Study in every contract.
However, we believe that the next Equity Study should be even better.
That is why we launched a petition calling for the study to reflect the cost of living, not the cost of labor.
Cost-of-living petition
Besides cost of living, we also may give input about what could be improved in the upcoming Equity Study. We may submit concerns about our job descriptions and bilingual pay or services in the feedback form

Finally, all the progress we have made together has been the result of our political work, winning term limits and flipping the Board of Supervisors. Sign up to support Terra Lawson-Remer, a valuable supporter on the Board, by talking to our neighbors where they live from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 6, or by text at 6 p.m. Monday, April 22.
