San Diego Housing Commission members overwhelmingly approved our Tentative Agreement on Sept. 13. Next the SDHC board and then San Diego City Council must approve the agreement, with the goal of having the contract in effect by October. Stay tuned on when we can expect retroactive pay.
Highlights of the tentative agreement, which would run through June 30, 2024, include:
- 5% raise effective July 2022
- 4% raise effective July 2023
- 3% increase in flex credits
- new teleworking pilot program
- additional holidays
- additional floating holiday
- a one-time credit of two paid-time-off days for employees who are at their top step
- an increase is bilingual pay
- increase in mileage when gas is over $6 a gallon
- increase in bereavement leave (1 additional day for a total of 4)
- increase in education reimbursement
- improved contract language regarding discipline
- increase in safety-boot allowance
- and more
